Ucluelet, BC, Vancouver Island, Canada: Ucluelet, British Columbia is located on the west side of Vancouver Island neighbouring the beautiful Pacific Rim National Park. The coastal village and the surrounding rainforest parks is a popular eco-tourism getaway destination. The village of Ucluelet is anchored on the southern most point of the Pacific Rim region home to the scenic Wild Pacific Trail nearest the Broken Islands Marine Group in Barclay Sound. Ucluelet, BC is a pristine west coast paradise destination that creates moments of tranquility when participating in any of the casual lounging activities found on any of the west coast sandy beaches. The anticipation builds and the adrenaline surges when one embarks on any of the many wilderness adventures in the area. The village and surrounding areas provide many opportunities for wildlife viewing, boating, kayaking, storm watching, fishing, hiking, off-roading (bring own 4X4 vehicle), scuba diving (bring own scuba equipment), canoeing, swimming, beach combing and, did we mention, the spectacular wilderness scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities spying on Black Bears, seals, Sea Lions, whales, Bald Eagles and more.
The Ucluelet community maintains many walking trails and beach access points within the village limits with the most famous trail being the 8 kilometre oceanside walking trail named the Wild Pacific Trail. The Wild Pacific follows the ocean coastline - weaving in and out of the wind battered forests - peering down on surge channels, rock outcroppings while visiting a lighthouse. Looking up at bald eagles and other sea birds is easy from any of the viewing platforms or sitting benches along the route. Enjoy the memories of oceanfront sunsets and sunrises, days filled with quiet time and tranquility and rememberinng the experiences had exploring with the outdoor wilderness adventure tour companies while visiting the Pacific Rim community we call Ucluelet (pronounced U-clue-let). |
