Sooke - Victoria BC,
Canada:
One of the west coast's biggest secrets
with it's endless coast line, lush untouched rugged rainforests
and a full agenda of outdoor activities available. An appreciation
for nature's seaside landscape, the locals have preserved areas
like Otter Point, Beechey Head and Whiffin Spit for a little scenic

How to Get to Sooke:
32 km (20 mi) northwest of Victoria
British Columbia on Hwy 14 visiting the communities of Langford,
Colwood and Metchosin on the way. If scenery and eye-candy is what
you are looking for then take the coastal route along Metchosin
Rd and Rocky Point Rd turning east on Gillespie Rd into Sooke Village.
Entering from Port
Renfrew is a scenic 74 km (46 mi.) drive south along the
coast by China Beach, French Beach and others. If
off road is your thing then take the Lake
Cowichan route 135 km (80 mi.) traveling along paved and
gravel roads through lush overgrown, wildlife inhibited rainforests,
beside meandering rivers feeding the surrounding lakes of Lizard
Lake and Fairy Lake eventually breaking through the tree
line at Port Renfrew. Continue to head south using the coastal West
Coast Road onto the village of Sooke. A good time awaits. |
