	Arthur Mayse Trail.The loop trail visits a fish breeding pond and explores along a 575 metre long waterway called the Arthur Mayse Side Channel. The side channel is part of a network of channels looping into and out of the Oyster River. [ more information ]
	Miracle Beach. Miracle Beach enjoys vast sandy beaches and over 2 kilometres of hiking trails. The beach is a popular summer beachcombing area. Miracle Beach is next door to Saratoga Beach and part of the Miracle Beach Provincial Park. [ more information ]
	Oyster River Trails. The 5 hectare (12 acre) park is a hiking, swimming, birdwatching, mountain biking, picnicking, horseback riding and sightseeing destination. The well maintained trails explore the region's forests, beaches, rivers, flood plains and ponds. [ more information ]
	Saratoga Beach. A beautiful, recreational sandy beach located in the community of Saratoga Beach. From one end to the other, the beach is a popular beachcombing, birdwatching and walking destination. enjoyed by locals and visitors. [ more information ]
	Strathcona Park. A 500,000 acre park which is Vancouver Island's biggest park and British Columbia's oldest park. Hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and caving is enjoyed in the park. [ more information ]
	Mount Washington. Vancouver Island's largest downhill skiing and snowboarding recreation mountain. Mt Washington is a year round destination located in Strathcona Park. There is skiing in the winter and backpacking, hiking and mountain biking in the spring, summer and early fall. [ more information ]
Comox Glacier. To reach the glacier plan for a 3 day backpacking trip (expert climbers only) or book a guided tour on a glacier bus. Backpackers require an ice axe and rope to reach glacier. Access glacier by heading south of Saratoga Beach and than west on Comox Lake Main.
Forbidden Plateau. Recreation mountain for mountain biking, hiking and backpacking in the summer. Snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter. Access mountain west of Saratoga Beach on Forbidden Plateau Rd.
Kitty Coleman Provincial Park. Popular for swimming, lots of beach and ocean views. Many hiking trails in the area. Access south of Merville, BC via the Inland Hwy and then turn onto Coleman Rd.
Lake Helen Mackenzie-Battleship Lake Loop Trail. A 2-3 hour muddy hill climbing hike leading to lake and mountain views. Access trailhead from the parking lot at the Nordic Lodge in Strathcona Park.
Medicine Bowls. Three waterfalls created from the currents of Browns River. Great views after a short 2 km walk along a dirt road. Access road leading to bowls at the end of Forbidden Plateau Road.
Nymph Falls Nature Park. 55 acre park popular for hiking, mountain biking and swimming. Access from Forbidden Plateau Rd.
Tsolum River. Lots of swimming holes and river trails in the area. Access south of Saratoga Beach.
