Land

From Victoria (South Vancouver Island) : Travel north on Highway #1 for 111 kilometres over the Malahat Mountain, through the Cowichan Valley to Nanaimo.

From Port Hardy (North Vancouver Island) : Travel south for 238 kilometres on Highway #19A to the community of Campbell River. From Campbell River continue traveling on Hwy #19 (or travel the Oceanside Route) south for 50 kilometres to the community of Courtenay. Continue south on either highway for 107 kilometres to Nanaimo.

Air

There is a large airport servicing commercial airlines, charter planes, charter flights and helicopters south of the community of Nanaimo in Cassidy, BC.

Ocean

BC Ferry Terminals are located in Departure Bay in Nanaimo Harbour and Duke Point near Cedar. BC Ferries transports vehicles and people from Nanaimo to Vancouver Mainland and the Sunshine Coast.
