Kayaking Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, BC is a scenic tour where the island wildlife will entertain you, the landscape will awaken you and the forests will bring you back to nature. Unguided kayaking tours on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands is not recommended for novice paddlers. Nope, not even close. Renting a kayak without guides is difficult and dangerous if the group is not accustomed to kayaking. Many of the individual kayaking tour operators do not rent out kayaks and equipment for unguided adventures. |

Kayaking around Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands is a plus because it enjoys the warmest temperatures in Canada usually reaching the high 30’s ( Celsius ) – 80’s Fahrenheit - in the summer and low to mid 20’s ( Celsius ) – 60’s Fahrenheit - in the spring and fall. It is well known it rains here on the west coast of Canada, but like all myths… it is exaggerated. It can rain for days at a time or for a few hours, mostly in winter and early spring. It is also sunny for weeks at a time. Just prepare for all weather when kayaking.
