Star Lake

Star Lake is located near the community of Gold River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. The small lake is a wilderness recreation destination situated in the back country forests located south of the community. The lake is an adventure destination for fishing, canoeing, swimming and picnicking.

The recreation site includes a few picnic tables, pit toilet and a roof top boat launch. Some of the picnic tables enjoy a great view of the lake. And most have a fire pit.

On the lake is a floating pier for swimming and canoeing. The fresh water lake is best used as a fishing hole and picnic site. Fish of choice when fishing the lake is trout.

How to Get to Star Lake

First travel to the community of Campbell River on Vancouver Island on Hwy #1. On the north end of Campbell River take a right and head west on the Gold River Highway to the community of Gold River, BC, Canada. In Gold River travel south on Ucona Road for about 5.5 kilometres to the entrance to Star Lake.
