Antler Lake Antler Lake is located in the back country forests near the community of Gold River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. The lake is a remote wilderness destination that is close to the community and therefore is popular. Some of the activities enjoyed on the lake include swimming, fishing, canoeing and picnicking. When visiting the crystal clear lake there is a good chance there will be an opportunity to view wildlife. The forests in the area are home to bear, deer and cougar. There are some picnic tables, pit toilets and a roof top boat launch. The parking lot is small. The scenery is worth bringing a camera. Be prepared as the lake is a local swimming hole that can get busy on weekends. How to Get to Antler Lake First travel to the community of Campbell River on Vancouver Island on Hwy #1. On the north end of Campbell River take a right and head west on the Gold River Highway to the community of Gold River, BC, Canada. In Gold River travel north on East Road for about 4 kilometres to the entrance to Antler Lake. |
