A West Coast Cabin Cottage can be remote and rustic with no phone or
TV… leaving just nature and wildlife to entertain or come as a
deluxe, modern and elegant accommodation with hot tubs, kitchenettes
and many amenities.
The detailed list of Cottages and Cabins are categorized by demographic regions and then
are further broken down by community (column to your left). Many of
the Vancouver Island accommodation listings post contact
information such as website links, e-mail addresses, phone numbers,
fax numbers and street addresses.
The bulk of our West Coast Vancouver Island Cabin and Cottage resorts are privately owned and
operated. ( cabins and cottages may or may not include power, phone,
fireplace, TV, VCR, Jacuzzi tubs, kitchenettes, boat launch, trail systems
and/or laundry facilities).
Vancouver Island Cabins and Cottages are generally spread out throughout the community offering the visitor
different experiences in different environments. Some Island Cabins
and Cottages are outside the city limits close to a natural pristine
environmental area surrounded by wilderness. Other Cottages and Cabins can be found within city limits
in some communities. All accommodations tend to be closely associated
with a spectacular ocean view, waterfront, river valley, lake and/or
mountains. Some Vancouver Island Cabins and Cottages can only be reached
by backpacking, kayak, canoe, plane or boat while most can be accessed
by a vehicle.
Depending on the size of the resort and time of season... many Vancouver
Island Cottage and Cabin Resorts have onsite
convenience stores and shuttle services. A cottage accommodation is
one of the most sought after types of accommodation on Vancouver Island
and is in high demand so it is recommended to make reservations before
visiting on Vancouver Island during any of our seasons,
especially peak season from April - October.
