Fuller Lake. Fuller Lake is a recreation lake popular for swimming and boating located in Chemainus, BC on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The park is best known for its beach area and picnicking facilities. The lake park is a good size day-use park. It is situated on a slopping grassy knoll fronted by a small sandy-pebbled beach. There are looming trees nearby providing shade. There are open areas exposed to the sun at the top of the grassy knoll. Be early for a good spot on the grassy slopes as this is a popular beach. The park includes some picnic tables, a large grass lawn area, tennis courts, a floating swimming pier, a small sandy beach, a boat launch, change rooms and washrooms. The beach is one of the few in the region that has a life guard on duty during the summer months. Prior to the park is a side road on your right leading down to a boat launch. Here you can launch a canoe or a small boat. However, the lake permits electric motors only. The lake is good fishing for Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout. At the end of the entrance driveway leading to the park is a large paved RV friendly parking lot. How to Get to Fuller Lake. Travel to the community of Chemainus, BC on Vancouver Island. From Highway #1 prior to the turn off to Chemainus is Fuller Lake Arena. Turn here. On your left is the entrance to the park. |
